Guess who’s playing Barack Obama on upcoming CBS miniseries?

As one of the most beloved leaders of the free world, Barack Obama has already been emulated in independent films, Broadway plays and countless “Saturday Night Live” routines.
Now, the former president will get the television miniseries treatment.
Somewhat.
In the upcoming CBS Studios-produced James Comey miniseries, British actor Kingsley Ben-Adir has been tapped to portray No. 44.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the project is based on the former FBI director’s book, “A Higher Loyalty,” which follows Comey’s role in the top spot from 2013 until May 2017, when President Trump fired him
The miniseries, which does not yet have a network, will also document his tumultuous relationship with the polarizing president.
Ben-Adir joins a previously announced cast including Emmy Award winner Jeff Daniels in the lead role as Comey, Brendan Gleeson as Donald Trump, Holly Hunter as Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, Michael Kelly as Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Jennifer Ehle as Patrice Comey, and Peter Coyote as Robert Mueller.
This is the latest project for the London-area native best known for work onstage and British TV shows.
